Introduction of NLP.

A study of human excellence, NLP is about empowering you with proven strategies – how successful people do the great things they do, and achieve the feats they set out to achieve – in simple, systematic steps which everyone can follow and obtain the same, if not, higher level of results.

One of the presuppositions of NLP states that success leaves a trail – there is a system, a strategy behind every positive behavior. If you can learn the system and effectively implement the strategy, then you too will achieve the same positive outcomes. In layman's term, it's "copycatting" the right way!

Since its initial research done in the early 70's by Prof. John Grinder and Dr. Richard Bandler, NLP has since evolved, been time-tested and is well recognized. Many of graduates and MNC clients who are in senior hiring positions claim that they would give priority to applicants who are NLP trained.

Statistically, executives who are equipped with NLP can outshine their peers. Additionally, more and more human resource managers are recommending that their talent pool be trained in NLP, at least at the Practitioner Level. Just examine the influential power of NLP trained USA Presidents like Clinton and Obama.

Multimedia Enhanced Presentation Skills

Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran (JPK) under the Ministry of Human Resources has successfully completed the 5 days Multimedia Enhanced Presentation Skills program with Multimedia University. This course teaches how to fully utilize Microsoft Powerpoint 2007.

Happening on 21st to 27th November, 15 participants from JPK were invited for the intensive training programme. Enhanced presentation skills as a critical skill a person must have in order to be outshine from the rest. A good presentation must be supported by aided diagram or a presentation slides. The ability to produce an appealing slides will make a presentation more attractive and will keep audience to listen. By applying multimedia inside the presentation, it will help the presenter explain less while effectively transfer the information to the audience.

As the technology evolves, so does the software. Microsoft has comes out with Microsoft Windows 7 and Office 2007 (and the latest 2010). To upgrade the software is a wise decision but to under utilize all the functions is a waste. Therefore, JPK has made the right move to send some of the officers to learn on how to fully utilize all the features offered while producing a well designed presentation. Technology is not the same as 5 years ago. For example nobody was thinking to put on Youtube video inside the presentation slide. With the latest trend, putting on youtube is no longer a difficult thing to do. These are the positive changes that make the technology more interesting to be explore.

The most interesting part of the training program was, all the participant were brought over to Umbai for the ikan bakar session. Everybody will agree that Melaka is very famous for it's ikan bakar where some might say it's a must to eat ikan bakar when you visit Melaka. These memorable moment was captured with all the participant whose having a great time enjoying the tasty seafood.

We are hoping that all participant are having a great time for all 5 days of training in Multimedia university. We are looking forward to organize more training for the organization and your organization too!
